Painting Services for Maintenance pressure washing vs Prep to paint pressure washing

Maintenance pressure washing vs Prep to paint pressure washing

As your typical house painter, you will find yourself in your profession as a painter pressure washing homes. The homes you pressure wash will either be part of your prepping procedure to paint or it will be your routine house maintenance. There are so many painting services that many paint companies offer and if you are running your business the correct way then all professional painters should consider adding routine pressure washing services to their general painting services. As a house painter you can not only pressure wash houses but you can also include roofs, driveways, walk ways, curbs, pool screens and patio decks. This way as a painter you gain repeat business with your clients by having them on a annual house cleaning maintenance plan, especially as you get closer to the holidays like thanksgiving and christmas. Customers love to have their homes clean and looking beautiful for expected family members and friends for the holidays. Now lets desribe the different procedures of pressure washing. As a house painter when pressure washing a home to prepare to paint their are differents methods you are going to use. First is chemicals, when we pressure wash our clients homes to prepare them to paint we use a product we like call 30 seconds outdoor cleaner that we purchase from Sherwin Williams this product is chlorine base it removes algae, mold and mildew these are different fungals that can prevent your exterior paint from bonding and adhering to the surface that you are painting and if you dont remove the fungals properly it will cause your paint to fail with in the first three months. Second as a house painting company in gainesville fl we like to apply pressure when prepping to paint an home because the pressure allows you to remove highly stained algae and mold and being that we are painting the home we are not concerned if any paint does chip off from the 4000 psi pressure that we will be applying but just got to be careful around the window screens because you can damage them with that much pressure. Now onto the pressure washing just for maintenance. First as for maintenance pressure washing as a painting company we do not like to use chlorine base cleaner because yes they can remove fungal but they also can destroy the pigments in the paint and cause the paint to fade so that is why I recommend only detergent base cleaners that will not destroy the pigments and for that particular cleaner we use simple green which is also a product we purchase from Sherwin Williams. The simple green does remove mold and mildew however it cant remove the algae but again if this is your maintenance routine client then that home should not be filthy anyways because your cleaning is done yearly. Second we only soft wash our maintenance homes because as a house painter that provide  this type of painting services we do not want to risk paint chipping off.
