Painter Helper

Job Overview 

We are looking for Painter’s Helpers to prep the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces. Becoming a Painter’s Helper is the first step in training to become a painter. Your job will be important since a great paint job begins with great preparation. An excellent Painter’s Helper learns skills quickly, needs minimal direction, and works quickly and consistently. They must be reliable and deft, as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their duties. The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work.

Responsibilities

  • Make on-site preparations such as taping, masking, laying tarps, covering fixtures, setting up ladders, etc.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, power washing, etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster, spackling, caulking, etc.)
  • Clean-up jobsites and equipment
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions

Skills

  • Progressive work experience or construction experience a plus
  • Aptitude for using appropriate tools (masker, caulking guns, etc.)
  • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs
  • 0-3 years of experience is a plus!

Painter

Job Overview 

We are looking for an experienced Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Responsibilities include prepping surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coats of paint to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. The successful candidate will also be responsible for cleaning up after each job and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed.

All applicants must meet these requirements:

  • 5+ years recent experience in full time residential and commercial interior and exterior painting.
  • Experience in prepping such as caulking, puttying, scraping, sanding, masking, priming and pressure washing. 
  • Experience in brushing and rolling as well as spraying and masking.
  • Experience in detail custom finish painting including wood work and trim pack
  • Ability to match paint samples for touch-ups and other projects
  • Any Sheetrock or carpentry experience is a huge plus
  • Must work well without supervision
  • Must be able to take direction and work in a fast-paced team environment with flexibility

– Must possess the ability to perform exceptional industry standard work with high attention to detail

  • Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and have reliable transportation to get to job sites and warehouse

Lead Painter

Job Overview

We are looking for a Crew Leader for Residential and commercial painting to join our team. Your role is to work with 2-4 painters and oversee operations on the site and maintain friendly environment. You will act as a bridge between the upper management and the workers on site. You will be authorized to assign duties and positions and monitor the progress of a project according to the given time limit and budget. You will need to maintain a safe and secure working environment while keeping healthy relations with the Homeowners and the neighbors near the site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Have a current driver’s license and clean driving record

  • 2 years experience of working as a Foreman or Crew Lead on construction site.
  • Knowledge of industry specific equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all the production and workers on the site.
  • Evaluate the painters according to their performance and capabilities.
  • Ensure that the workers are following work order and construction plans.
  • Ensure the safety procedures are being followed.
  • Report the work progress on daily/weekly basis.
  • Determine the time limit for the tasks and make sure it is completed on the decided time frame.
  • Coordinate with HR department to recruit and train the staff according to the need of a project.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that occur on the construction site and report them to higher management.
  • Must know the application and surface preparation for the  following materials such as primers, sands, seals, patches and paints furniture, surfaces, buildings, and fixtures utilizing all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, stains, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, water-proofing and heat resistant finishes.
  • Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texturing, wallpaper, and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces.
  • Adjusts colors when necessary; utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate.
  • Applies materials to new construction, existing, multi-story buildings, alterations, and remodeling.
  • Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers and electrostatic sprayers, pumps etc. Safely stores and labels all materials.
  • Erects scaffolding, rigging and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.
  • Must be OSHA certified to operate machinery equipment such as boom lift, scissor lift etc.
  • Must be able to perform drywall repairs such as patching, skimming, mudding.
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of paint and job site safety.
  • Skilled in all aspects of site prep, painting, spraying finishes, staining and varnishing, cabinet painting.
  • Work on jobsites daily and always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Drive company vehicle to jobsites- follow all traffic laws.

    Carpenter

    Job Overview 

    You will be able to complete a variety of carpentry tasks. It will be your job to ensure that those tasks are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible. The work that you do each day can change based on our needs. But you should expect to spend some time repairing and replacing wood rot , finish and rough carpentry , drywall repairs which consist of pathing, mudding, skimming etc. It’s essential that you’re able to perform all of these tasks without violating our safety procedures and while abiding by all relevant local building codes

    Job Requirements 

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
    • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions; must be able to communicate verbally and in writing to co-workers and supervisors;
    • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in residential construction;
    • Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance required;
    • Experience working with hand tools and power tools;
    • Hard working and reliable;
    • Sound knowledge of carpentry construction and practical experience with tools
    • Good Understanding of safety procedures

    • Complete many different high-end residential carpentry construction tasks, including building stairs, installing cabinetry, installing beams, framing walls, hanging doors, installing trim and finishes , wood rot and drywall repairs 
    • Participates in demolitions;
    • Removing demolished materials from sites
    • Assists in cleaning job sites regularly to ensure safety and cleanliness

    Paint Foreman

    Job Overview

    Responsible for all Paint-related operations for a designated job or jobs. Maintain a high quality of workmanship while supervising all painters. Work with other painters and lead painter employees to coordinate the job. Inspect all painting equipment for proper working conditions. Perform repairs to equipment as needed. May be required to perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor for the completion of the job in a safe and timely manner.

    Requirements

    Regularly required to walk; frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, or crawl, occasionally required to sit, required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to feel, grip, or handle, regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, required use of vision to see up close, distance, and peripherally, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to do simple to complex math. Must be able to problem solve, organize, and prioritize work.

    Additional Requirements 

    • Organizing projects on front end with help of Project Manager and Estimator.
    • Maintain daily reports and Change order request.
    • Ordering materials and sundries for projects.
    • Monitoring crew hours and supplying critical up-to-date time reports for projects. Responsible for making jobs are completed within allotted time.
    • Meeting with clients’ (GC) representatives to discuss project issues.
    • Reading and understanding project plans and specifications.
    • Preparing documents in Word.
    • Corresponding with clients and crew by phone and email.
    • Must have smartphone
