Last year, we saw a resurgence in neutrals and earthy tones. So what’s in this year? Check it out below!

1. Rich and Bold Colors are in

Don’t expect a repeat of last year. Neutrals are on the way out as we look to bold and rich colors of self-expression. Rich, earthy reds, rubies, purples, and violets made a showing, winning color of the year through a number of publications and we couldn’t agree more. These are rich, comfortable colors that give your home an irresistible coziness and a look of luxury we can’t deny. If those colors are a bit too bold for you, don’t worry there are plenty of deep blue options that have a similar feel with an easier approach.

2. A Fun Take on Neutrals

Neutral colors will always be palatable in homes. It makes them look clean, comfortable, and very appealing as a home buyer or seller. The top neutrals we expect to see have a different take this year. Honeyed neutrals and ambers are in. These warm, light yellows and oranges brighten up any room and look great in almost any Florida home. If whites and off-whites are not your style, consider options like artist’s ochre, quilt gold, and more. The autumn-inspired color palette will look great year-round and offer color tones that everyone will appreciate.

3. The Big Surprise? Browns!

Were we expecting this to come out as a trend, no. Is it stunning, yes! It already sounds like a dated trend, but updated colors are taking browns in new rich, nature-inspired directions. Graham & Brown’s color of the year, Elderton, is a woody-inspired color for the indoors that will make any room give you the serenity of forest trees. Along with this desert browns are seeing a surge in popularity. We wouldn’t be surprised to see all sorts of innovative designs and paint styles using browns to revamp a space entirely.
